Proper Disposal of Automotive Waste

Air Conditioning Freon
Take to HHW drop off facility, if freon is leaking, don’t just add more; have the leak repaired.

Antifreeze
Take to HHW drop off facility to be recycled or see our listed Antifreeze Recyclers.

Automobile Batteries
Trade in when purchasing a battery, sell to a recycler or take to HHW drop off facility.

Automobiles
Some charitable organizations accept donated cars and trucks, or see our listed auto salvage section in Automobiles.

Brake Fluid
Take to HHW drop off facility.

Gasoline and Diesel Fuel
Take to HHW drop off facility.

Motor Oil
Take to certified oil recycling center or take to HHW drop off facility.

Oil Filters
Drain over collection pan for 24 hours, check with curbside recycling service provider or take to a certified oil recycling center.

Power Steering Fluid
Take to HHW drop off facility.

Tires
Take to one of our listed recyclers.

Transmission Fluid
Take to HHW drop off facility.

Wax and Polish
Take to HHW drop off facility.

Windshield Wiper Fluid
Take to HHW drop off facility.
