Your computer, storage media such as CDs, DVDs, floppy disks, USB devices and similar items, may contain your personal and financial information. This information can be located and restored by experts even if the files have been deleted. When you recycle electronic items it is your responsibility to protect your personal financial and other sensitive information by first destroying the data before sending it off to recycle. If in doubt, always contact a computer tech for assistance.

Accepts PC Computers (not Macintosh) with 300 MHz or faster.  Systems are not required to be complete. They can be missing components like drives, memory or video and sound cards.  A standard computer system should include a CPU tower, keyboard, monitor and mouse.  They do not accept scanners, FAX machines or printers.  Monitors must be working with good focus.  15-inch screen or larger with manufacture date of 1999 or newer.  Hard drivers must be 4 gigabytes or larger.  Accept CD drives and mouse (PS2 or serial).  Used computers are refurbished and given to disadvantaged families and non-profit organizations.  Please call 473-1421.   Also visit their homepage: http://home.kcbx.net/~estation/

• Cold Canyon Landfill

Cold Canyon Landfill is located about 6 miles south of the City of San Luis Obispo on Highway 227.  You can drop off your computer monitor and television 7 days per week, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  The landfill is closed on major holidays.

• Chicago Grade Landfill

Chicago Grade Landfill is located 4 miles northeast of Atascadero off of Highway 41.   You can drop off your computer monitor and television 7 days per week.  The landfill is open Monday through Friday (7:30 AM to 3:00 PM), Saturday and Sunday (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM).

• Paso Robles Landfill

The Paso Robles Landfill is located on 8-1/2 miles east of Paso Robles off of Highway 46 East.  You can drop off your computer monitor and television Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  The Morro Bay Waste Water Plant is located on Atascadero Road (HWY 41) west of Highway 1 (across from Morro Bay High School).  You can drop off your computer monitor and television every Saturday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

  The Nipomo HHW Facility is located on Southland, which is accessible from the Frontage Road, west of Highway 101 (south of the Tefft off ramp).  You can drop off your computer monitor and television every Saturday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
