Formed in 1994 by Michael di Milo, Science Discovery began as a one-person recycling education business operating from a home office and garage. The main focus of the company was providing classroom programs about recycling and composting to local schools. A significant transition to virtual education took place in 2020, with the development of in-house studio facilities for school and public programs.
Science Discovery currently operates from a 2,400 sq. ft. studio, shop, and office in San Luis Obispo, California. A staff of four educators and various skilled contractors combine to provide over 1,500 education programs each year.
