TIMELINE:

October 1, 2024 - RFP release date

October 8, 2024 - Optional pre-proposal phone conference at 2:30 p.m. PST

October 9, 2024 - Deadline to submit written questions due by 12:00 p.m. PST

November 1, 2024 - Proposals due by 12:00 p.m. PST

November 6, 2024 - Preliminary screening process complete, including reference checks.

November 13, 2024 - Board consideration and approval of staff recommended Contractor (including proposer presentation, if requested).

November 20, 2024 - Negotiate and finalize contract.

1. If possible, please provide the available budget for this project.

The costs we anticipate for this project might be between $30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Cost makes up 30% of the criteria, while qualifications and technical workplan account for 70%.

2. If it is not possible to provide a budget, please describe your expectations about the level of sorting effort that will be needed.  Ideally this could be based on a sample target for each generator class that you want to attain.  Alternatively, it could be possibly be accomplished by indicating how many host facilities have to be visited each season, or how many days of work are needed by a sort crew each season.

3. Please describe the level of detail you are expecting in the project report (brief, tabular data?  Nice visualization via charts and graphs?).  Alternatively, if you have seen another waste comp report for a county or City that has a level of detail you would like to see in the results, please point us in that direction.

Within the Request, we’ve referenced the 2021 CalRecycle Disposal Facility-Based Characterization Study as an example for the detail of work we are expecting.
