Very Small Quantity Generator Program (VSQG)

The IWMA has programs to help businesses manage their hazardous, universal and electronic waste. State and Federal laws govern these programs and restrictions apply. ​​

    Waste Inventory and Certification Form

     Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) Waste Inventory and Certification Form: 

    • Businesses are permitted to dispose of 27 gallons or 220 pounds of hazardous waste per calendar month.
    • This form requires an EPA ID Number for waste disposal. 
      • If you do not have an EPA ID Number, please contact the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at  1 (800) 618-6942. 

    After Your Form Has Been Approved:

    • Once your form is approved, you will receive a confirmation email and an invoice (if applicable).
    • Bring the approved Waste Inventory and Certification Form to your scheduled appointment.
    • Payment must be made prior to your appointment.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    • The IWMA is not a regulatory agency and cannot advise you regarding hazardous waste regulations or your current status as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG). 
    • If you are unsure if the business is a CESQG or if you have questions about hazardous waste regulations, please call County Environmental Health at (805) 781-5544 for further information.
    • The IWMA reserves the right to provide information to County Environmental Health to verify your compliance with CESQG regulations.
